CHARDONNAY - 3 of each - 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 - 12 bottles
2015 - Impressive Chardonnay that saturates the palate with citrus juiciness, hints of stone fruit and delicate mineral elements. There is textural softness, with refined oak influence and an overall charm and elegance. Fresh, racy and opulent.
2016 - 100% Nannup Chardonnay was pressed straight to French oak of which 30% was new for fermentation. The yeasts indigenous to the vineyard were allowed to weave their magic and ‘voila’, we have a wine of great character that would sit comfortably alongside some of the finest Burgundy can offer. Crisp fresh pear, zesty citrus, spicy oak assault the senses, all you need is to imagine you are in the dusty barrel halls of Meursault.
2017 - Light golden in colour with a delicate lime green hue. Aromas of citrus blossom, cashews and lemon butter spread on lightly toasted sourdough bread. Palate is distinguished by long citrus line with rich creamy brulee mid and delicate textural finish. Burgundian – whole bunch pressed straight to barrel. Partial malolactic fermentation (MLF) allowed to occur naturally to assist with developing complexity. Lees stirring (Battonage) is used for the first two months to provide textural weight and further complexity.
2018 - Bright colour with a hint of lime green leads to aromas of white nectarine and citrus blossom with balanced vanilla oak. The palate shows flavours of stone fruit and lemon tart with great texture from oak and a crisp citrus finish. The quenching nature of this wine will always encourage another glass to be poured! A wine of impeccable balance to be enjoyed now or for many years and beyond.
