2020 Shiraz - 12 bottles - SOLD OUT
Unquestionably our best Shiraz to date! Maree and Steve have worked incredibly hard in the vineyard to reduce yields and therefore boost the depth of flavour in this fruit.
The fruit was carefully handpicked and sorted then carted to the winery where the fruit was crushed and destemmed then cold soaked prior to fermentation. The must was pressed to 1/4 new and 3/4 older French oak barrels after 14 days on skins and matured for 10 months prior to bottling.
Beautiful aromas of Mulberry and Blackberry underpinned with intricate layers of spice and toasty oak and hints of good old vanilla. Tasting delivers everything the nose suggests with the dark berry flavours and perfectly integrated oak well supported by gentle but persistent tannins.
