2021 Shiraz - 6 bottles
A fine medium bodied Shiraz from the Blackwood Valley region, the wine is a bright red colour with a tinge of purple. Aroma's of mulberry and raspberry along with delicate lightly toasted oak sing from the glass and lead the way toward a palate of fresh plums and, aforementioned, berries which is layered with oaky mocha, fine tannins and a balanced refreshing finish.
The fruit was carefully handpicked and sorted then carted to the winery where the fruit was crushed and destemmed then cold soaked prior to fermentation. The must was pressed to 1/4 new and 3/4 older French oak barrels after 14 days on skins and matured for 10 months prior to bottling.
A wine to be enjoyed now or for the next 8 years.
